I first became interested in stained glass whilst at college as a mature student in 2011. Glass in its all infinite glories cries out to be made into wonderful pieces of art and in my opinion, the larger the better. The colours that are “out there” are so fantastic and so versatile. Imagination and design versatility are very important. It is also very tactile, so with changing textures of the glass and lead, even the visually impaired can “see” the piece.

It was announced today that The Boathouse Studio has won the Cabinetry and Joinery gong at the Product Design Awards 2020, run by the prestigious Society of British and International Interior Design.
The SBID Product Design Awards celebrate the finest design, innovation and functionality for products within the interior design sector. The SBID International Design Awards showcase the world’s best interior designers and projects.
